Overview

FastWrite is a local desktop application published by Gain Publications. We take privacy seriously — which means we collect essentially nothing about you.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your documents, writing, or any content you create in FastWrite.
• We do not collect your API keys. They are stored locally on your device only.
• We do not run telemetry, analytics, or usage tracking of any kind.
• We do not create or require user accounts.
• We do not have a server that receives any data from the app during normal use.

AI Provider Communications

When you send a message in the AI chat panel, that message is transmitted directly from your device to the AI provider you have configured (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq). Gain Publications is never in this data path. Each provider's own privacy policy governs how they handle your requests.

Local Storage

FastWrite stores settings (including your API keys) in your local Windows application data folder. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it using the Export Settings feature. When you uninstall FastWrite, this data is removed by the MSIX uninstaller.

Microsoft Store

FastWrite is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may collect standard purchase and download information as part of their store operations. This is governed by Microsoft's privacy policy.
